Do I need Trave Insurance and when should I buy it?

We request you purchase your holiday travel insurance at the same time as booking the holiday.

What happens if I need to cancel my holiday?

If you wish to cancel your booking you can do so at any time. In the event of a cancellation we will charge a cancellation fee on a sliding scale of charges as follows:
Date of cancellation – Cancellation fee (as a percentage of total)
12 weeks or more – Deposit
8-11 weeks before departure date – 30% of the total amount
5-7 weeks before departure date – 50% of the total amount
0-4 weeks before departure date – 100% of the total amount
The date of cancellation is the date on which you provide written notice that you are cancelling (i.e. by letter or email but not by telephone). Please give us as much written notice as possible to ensure that the cancellation fee is kept to a minimum. We may, under certain circumstances hold your deposit/cancellation fee as a credit for your next holiday.

Does Seable arrange the flights for me?

For the tailored holidays and european group holidays, the flights are not included, however, you will receive all the information required to make the booking independently

Can I take my assistant dog with me?

There is some groundwork that needs doing if you are considering taking your assistive dog abroad with you and you will need to plan your trip well in advance.
All pets travelling abroad need to comply with the European Pets Travel Scheme (PETS) – more information can be found on the website.
It is advisable that you talk with your Guide Dog Mobility Instructor (GDMI).
You should contact the Airline you plan to travel with well before your arrival as airlines may have various policies.
It is advisable that you contact the Embassy or consulate of the country you are travelling to.
It is advisable that you talk with a trained vet about your dog’s health and the relevant tests you will need to adhere to before travelling.

Can I bring a family member a carer or a friend?

Yes, you can bring a friend, partner, relative or carer. If that person is sighted,  they will enjoy the holiday as much as you as we tailor the holiday for each request

What is a guide / chaperone?

A guide / chaperone is your trained assistance during the trip. They receive visual awareness training which include a practice trip with visually impaired customers.

They are there for you to enjoy a stress-free holiday, taking you to your activities, meals and describing the surroundings.

In the tailored holidays: they are there as much or as little as you need them up to 8 hours a day.

In the group holidays: We provide 1 chaperone to every 2-3 people, depending on sight levels. According to the itinerary the chaperones will be with you for 8-10 hours a day from breakfast until dinner.
