DAY 1: ARRIVAL DAY

Willkommen to Berlin!

Upon arrival in Berlin, you will be warmly welcomed by Luigi, your friendly and knowledgeable local guide. From there, you’ll hop aboard a smooth and scenic train journey into the heart of the city – a chance to take in the sounds and rhythm of Berlin as it wakes up around you.

After dropping your bags at the hotel, enjoy a delicious local lunch. Expect hearty flavours and fresh German fare – a great first taste of Berlin!

Next, stretch your legs and explore the vibrant streets of Spandauer Vorstadt, Berlin’s historic centre. With Luigi leading the way, you’ll stroll through the atmospheric Hackesche Höfe, a maze of interconnected Art Deco courtyards filled with local stories, textured architecture, and buzzing street life. Feel the pulse of the city as past and present intertwine.

Return to the hotel for check-in, a room orientation to help familiarise yourself with your space, and some well-earned time to relax or unpack at your own pace.

In the evening, come together for a group dinner near the hotel. It’s the perfect opportunity to share first impressions, enjoy local dishes, and get an exciting overview of the week’s experiences to come.

DAY 2: STORIES, SENSES AND NEIGHBOURHOOD SPIRIT

Start the day with a relaxed breakfast, enjoy the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee, warm bread, and traditional German pastries to gently ease into the day.

Begin a multisensory journey through the Jewish Museum, one of Berlin’s most powerful and architecturally unique spaces. This guided experience is designed to be felt as much as heard, with tactile elements, powerful acoustics, and emotional storytelling that brings history to life.

Pause for a quick but flavourful lunch at the museum café, where Middle Eastern dishes like hummus, falafel, and fragrant rice offer a satisfying mix of textures, spices, and warmth.

DAY 3: TOUCHING HISTORY AND TASTING TRADITION

Begin the day with a hearty breakfast, enjoying the comforting smells of freshly baked rolls, cheese, fruit, and hot drinks to set you up for a day of discovery.

Head to Berlin Stadtmodelle, where you’ll explore detailed tactile scale models of the city centre and iconic monuments. This hands-on experience brings Berlin’s layout to life through touch. Then continue to Alexanderplatz and Nikolaikirche, one of Berlin’s oldest churches, where more tactile models await, offering a deeper connection to the city’s medieval roots.

Begin a multisensory journey along Bernauer Strasse, exploring the Berlin Wall Memorial. Feel the textures of the preserved wall fragments, listen to the sounds of the city, and hear the powerful stories that shaped this symbolic place of division and hope.

At lunchtime, head to the lively Mauerpark flea market, a beloved Sunday gathering spot for Berliners. Soak up the vibrant atmosphere through the buzz of conversations, the scent of street food, and the variety of textures and sounds from stalls filled with unique finds.

Visit the Otto Weidt Workshop and Museum, where you’ll learn about the inspiring life of a local blind entrepreneur who courageously sheltered and helped persecuted Jews during the Nazi era. Experience this history through touching artifacts and immersive storytelling.

Catch a train to Tempelhof, a former airport transformed into a vast public park. Feel the wide-open spaces and listen to the gentle hum of nature mingling with echoes of aviation history as you explore this unique urban landscape.

On the last night of your holiday, enjoy dinner in Neukölln, a vibrant neighbourhood known for its diverse culinary scene and welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, share reflections, and celebrate the remarkable experiences you’ve had throughout your journey.

DAY 5: DEPARTURE DAY

Begin the day with your last breakfast of the holiday, enjoying the familiar smells and tastes that gently prepare you for the day ahead.

Your guide will do a room check to ensure nothing is left behind and then assist in checking out of your room and securely leave your luggage at the hotel’s reception, so you can explore hands-free.

Visit the German Parliament building, known as the Bundestag. Experience the unique atmosphere of this iconic seat of democracy through vivid storytelling and tactile elements where possible.

Enjoy a quick lunch nearby, savouring local flavours before returning to the hotel to collect your belongings.

It’s time to say bis bald (“see you soon”) to Berlin as your guides assist you with the train transfer to the airport, ensuring a smooth start to your journey home.

This trip cannot take place unless there are 4 participants booked 60 days prior to departure.

FLIGHTS

Flights are not included in the price. Price range between £130 – £180 per person.

We advise you to fly to Berlin airport between 10 am and 11 am to be met by a Seable staff member

If you arrive at a different time, a transfer will be pre-booked and you will meet the Seable staff member at the accommodation

The return flight suggested at 3:45 pm
