Embark on a remarkable journey across two of the UK’s most iconic cities, London and Edinburgh, from 30 September to 9 October. This is more than a holiday; it’s a fully immersive, multi-sensory adventure where you’ll experience the rich history, vibrant culture, and unique character of both capitals through sound, touch, taste, and scent.

In London, stroll through bustling neighbourhoods and historic streets, feel the textures of grand buildings and hidden corners, hear the rhythm of the city from markets to parks, and savour classic dishes and market flavours. From Westminster Abbey’s Evensong to hands-on backstage theatre tours, every experience is designed to engage your senses and bring the city to life.

In Edinburgh, wander the cobbled streets of the Royal Mile, feel the ancient walls of Edinburgh Castle, hear the haunting echo of bagpipes and storytellers sharing centuries of legends, and taste the flavours of Scottish cuisine in cosy cafés and whisky tastings. Explore hidden gardens, markets, and atmospheric vaults, all thoughtfully planned for full accessibility and enjoyment.

Weather

London (30 Sept – 5 Oct): Early autumn brings crisp, cool air with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 15°C. Expect occasional light rain and misty mornings, perfect for layering, exploring vibrant streets, atmospheric parks, and cosy cafés.

Edinburgh (5 – 9 Oct): Autumn in Scotland is cool and refreshing, with temperatures between 8°C and 13°C. Crisp mornings, golden leaves, and occasional drizzle create a magical atmosphere for walking tours, castle visits, and sensory city exploration.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVAL DAY LONDON

Hello, welcome to England! You will be met by your local Seable-trained sighted guide at your chosen arrival point.
You will head to your city centre hotel where your sighted guide with help you check in and do a room orientation. Here you can have some time to unpack and relax before you meet again to run through your holiday itinerary one more time together.
Then you will head out for your first excursion of the trip, a touch tour at St Paul’s Cathedral, the seat of the Bishop of London, and baroque symbol of the city’s reconstruction after the 1666 fire finished with dinner in a local traditional pub.
Journey time: 30 min walk from the hotel to St Paul’s (1.6miles)

DAY 2: BUCKINGHAM PALACE, FORTNUM & MASON & GREENWICH

Your trained sighted guide will meet you at the hotel ready for a lovely traditional breakfast in your hotel. After you have finished, you head to the closest tube station, to start your day at Marble Arch, then a walk through Royal London: Hyde Park and the Diana Memorial, Buckingham Palace, and St James’s Park

After this, you will stop for tea smelling at Fortnum & Mason’s, a historic department store.

Lunch around Piccadilly and then a quick sail along the river: taking the Thames Clipper from Embankment to Greenwich. Walk through its baroque sites, the Naval College and Trinity College of Music. You will visit the Royal Observatory and the Meridian Line

The day will be finished off with dinner at a local Greenwich pub.

DAY 3: BRITISH MUSEUM, HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT & EVENSONG AT WESTMINSTER ABBEY

After breakfast, we walk a very short 3 min walk to the tube to start our journey to Russell Square and a brief walk through the literary neighbourhood of Bloomsbury. Followed by a touch tour of the magnificent Egyptian sculptures at the British Museum.

Stopping for a quick lunch around Holborn. We then walk to visit the Houses of Parliament at Westminster Palace, where the political history of the UK unfolded for almost 1000 years.

Then we go for a beautiful experience at Westminster Abbey to enjoy Evensong.

The day is finished when we head back to the City and dinner near the hotel.

DAY 4: WEST END SHOW & GIN TASTING

After, breakfast we take the tube to the West End and walk through Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, the bustling Chinatown, and Soho. You can enjoy lunch in either part of town, decided on by the group.

After lunch, we walk to enjoy a special audio-described west-end performance and touch tour.

The day ends with a Gin tasting at the City Distillery, the only distillery in the City of London, and then dinner close to the hotel.

DAY 5: CAMDEN, TATE MODERN & SOHO

After breakfast, you take the tube to Camden Town or, if it’s a fair day, somewhere closer to Regent’s Canal to stroll to the Lock. We will walk around the market and have lunch at the stalls.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy a touch tour at the Tate Modern, home of some of the finest modern and contemporary art in a renovated power station. Followed by the City Hall with a tactile model of the area, then walk across Tower Bridge to the Tower of London World Heritage Site.

The holiday is finished off with an exciting jam at the Blues Bar in Soho, to bid farewell to London in one of its most authentic venues.

DAY 6: LONDON - EDINBURGH

Time to say: Cheers Mate and Goodbye darlings!

We will help you check out of your accommodation and take you to the train station so you can start the next part of your Great British adventure. Edinburgh here we come!

After a 5 hour train journey, you will be welcomed by your local guide in the bonny city of Edinburgh.

We welcome you on this wonderful adventure!

Once at your hotel, your sighted guide will help you check in and do a room orientation. Here, you can have some time to unpack and relax before you meet again to go over your holiday itinerary one more time.

DAY 7: EDINBURGH CASTLE & CHOCOLATE TOUR

The Seable UK tour leader, local sighted guide, and Stats Perform Volunteer will meet you at the hotel for a delicious first breakfast!

Once we are full and ready to go, we head towards the castle for a special tactile tour with audio guides. You will begin your tour by the statue of Adam Smith on the Royal Mile. Walk towards Edinburgh Castle as your guide sets the scene, explaining the significance of the Castle and mentioning some of the key characters who have helped shape it. Once inside, let your guide walk you through the Castle complex. Hear their in-depth knowledge of the Castle’s main buildings and attractions, including the Argyle Battery and One O’clock Gun, the Hospital Square, and Western Panorama. See the Castle dungeons and military prison, the Black Banquet, and Thomas Randolph’s daring castle raid. Encounter St Margret’s Chapel, Mons Meg, the Crown Square, and The Honors of Scotland.

After a nice local lunch, we head for an afternoon at the Chocolatarium with a delicious private tour. This includes

Hands-on chocolate experience with your sighted guide where you can create your very own dream chocolate bar to take away, discover the magic of where chocolate comes from, see and smell how chocolate is made, and choose from over 40 flavours in the Tasting Room.

After returning to the hotel you can rest and freshen up ready for dinner close by.

DAY 8: WHISKEY ROOMS AND CITY TOUR

After a lovely breakfast, we will head onto the city streets for a sensory-filled city tour filled with Edinburgh‘s secrets, legends, and history.

After lunch, we will go to the Whiskey rooms and enjoy a special tasting and a cheese pairing, where we will discover the art of blending and the secrets of single malt whisky across the 5 whisky-producing regions.

Following a well-deserved rest in the hotel, we head out for a traditional dinner in the city.

DAY 9: EDINBURGH VAULT TOUR & BRITANNIA ROYAL YACHT

Are you feeling brave? After a short walk from the hotel, we will go on a private tour of the Edinburgh Vaults. Step off the tourist trail and explore the Scottish capital’s hidden secrets on this underground walking tour in Edinburgh. Follow a guide from the South Bridge in Edinburgh Old Town below street level, where a series of ancient vaults lie. As you explore the dark passageways, learn why the vaults were built, hear of the poor souls who sought refuge in the depths, and discover a hidden witchcraft temple. Gain insight into city life during the 18th century and learn of the deadly diseases that threatened Edinburgh’s inhabitants.

And if that’s not enough for one day, we finish with an audio-guided tour of the Britannia Royal Yacht. A Royal residence for over 40 years, The Royal Yacht Britannia sailed over 1,000,000 nautical miles on 968 state visits with the Royal Family, where they entertained prime ministers and presidents.  You can discover stories of life at sea across five decks for both the Royal Family and the 220 Royal Yachtsmen who served on board. Our five-star visitor attraction is in Leith, just two miles from Edinburgh’s city centre.

We finish the day on our last night with dinner together locally at the hotel.

DAY 10: DEPARTURE DAY

After breakfast, we will leave our lovely city hotel and say goodbyeMar sin leibh to Edinburgh.

We’ll assist you with checking out of your accommodation and ensure everything is in order before we drive you to the airport or take a short walk to the train station.

Your airport assistance will guide you through the check-in process, ensuring a smooth and stress-free journey as you begin your travel home.

Flights are not included in the price.

If you arrive at a different time, a transfer will be pre-booked and you will meet the Seable staff member at the accommodation.

Upon booking, we require a 30% nonrefundable and nontransferable commitment deposit, which is fully refundable and transferable only if the trip does not go ahead.
