ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVAL DAY

Buongiorno, welcome to Sicily! You will be met at Catania Airport Arrivals, by your chaperone.

A quick 30-minute drive to your accommodation in a little village called Aci Trezza, your chaperone with help you check in and do a room orientation. Here you can have some time to unpack and relax before you meet again to run through your holiday itinerary one more time together.

Then depending on the time, you can go for a little walk around the village, where you will discover its legends. Finished with a delicious local dinner in a restaurant close by.

Journey time: pick up from Catania airport, driving time 30 minutes (16.5 km)

DAY 2: CATANIA DAY

Your chaperone will meet you at the hotel ready for a lovely traditional breakfast in your hotel. After you have finished, you will drive 25 minutes into Catania city centre where you will start your city tour.

You will begin the day with a visit to the tactile museum, with model replicas of the historic buildings of Sicily and the world.

We then drive a short distance to the local markets for a street food tasting session. Here, you will get the opportunity to try local delicacies. It will be finished off with a tactile tour of the best attractions and secrets of the city.

Journey time: Full-day activity. Driving time to Catania centre 25 minutes (11.5 km)

DAY 3: ACI CASTELLO, DESSERT TASTING AND BEACH

After breakfast, you will take a short drive to the next village called Aci Castello. Here you will take a tour that will take you back in time with a visit to the famous Norman Castle, situated on the top of a volcanic rock. We will then drive into Catania to visit a dessert lab. You will get a real behind-the-scenes experience, going into the kitchen and workshop where you will get to try the award-winning ice-creams and desserts.

Once we have finished trying all the delicious desserts, we will head to the beach to relax and unwind for the afternoon in the Mediterranean sunshine.

Then go back to the hotel to freshen up and you can decide what you would like to do for dinner in the evening.

Journey time: Full-day activity. Driving time to Catania centre 25 minutes (11.5 km) and driving to Aci Castello 5 minutes (2 km)

DAY 4: ORGANIC FARM & WINERY

Today you will go on an adventure to Asilat, where you will visit a unique farm of Sicilian endangered species including donkeys, horses, goats, and chickens. The farmer will take you around to meet the animals and teach you all about the process of getting donkey milk. You will be able to pet the animals and try local produce made there.

Afterward, you will be driven over to the Etna winery, where you will tour the vineyard. A delicious 4-course meal with wine pairing will follow this. It is an authentic Sicilian feast!

Journey time: Full-day activity. Driving time to Asilat 35 minutes (22 km) and driving time to the winery 25 minutes (17 km)

DAY 5: MOUNT ETNA

After a slightly later start and delicious breakfast we head for our volcanic adventure.

We visit Mount Etna, up to 2500mt, Europe’s highest active volcano (UNESCO), including honey, olive oil, and wine tasting sessions from the volcano, and an optional cable car up to 2800 meters.

Journey time: Drive to Mount Etna, driving time 1 hour (34.9 km)

DAY 6: DEPARTURE DAY

Time to say Arrivederci Sicily!

We will help you check out of your accommodation and drive you to the airport. Airport assistance will then help you through the airport and onto the plane for your journey home!

GROUP SIZE

This trip cannot take place unless there are 4 participants booked 60 days prior to departure.

FLIGHTS

Flights are not included in the price but we can assist you in booking them independently. Price ranges between £100 – £200 per person.

We advise you to fly to Catania airport between 10 am and 11 am to be met by a Seable staff member

If you arrive at a different time, a transfer will be pre-booked and you will meet the Seable staff member at the accommodation

Departure flight suggested at 1 pm

BOOKING FORM & DEPOSIT

If needed, we can complete the booking form for you over the phone or email.

Upon booking, we require a 30% nonrefundable and nontransferable commitment deposit, which is fully refundable and transferable only if the trip does not go ahead.

CONFIRMATION & BALANCE

You will receive the holiday confirmation and final invoice 3 months before departure.

4 weeks prior to departure you will receive the itinerary, packing list and final details.

PASSPORT & VISA

We provide all the visa information upon booking.

Your passport should be valid for a minimum period of 6 months from the date of entry.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

You must have travel insurance before the trip and we ask for a copy of the insurance details before departure.
